Oli Robson (Bait Factory Manager) 

Growing up on the boarders between havering and Thurrock Ollie preferred fish the renowned pits that sat on his doorstep, favouring one over all.

having fished this undisclosed water for around 7+ years he had learned the insides of this majestic place like the back of his hand.

During his consistent 6 months campaign he went on to land over 200 fish, nailing the biggest common, “the long common” 5 times on 4 back to back sessions and repeated captures of the big mirror, he also went on to catch 2 unknown 30lb commons, putting his name as one of the top anglers on the lake at the age of 16.

Wanting more of a challenge Ollie switched to syndicate fishing and with only holding the ticket for 8 months he went on to clear the lake out hitting a whopping 3 40lbers within the space of 2 weeks, countless sessions with back to back 30s, with one session seeing 3 30s to 36lb and a 40lb in the space of 15 minutes!

I’ve been Carp fishing for over 40 years. I was the manager for the Welsh Ladies Team for a few years as well. I like to fish a variety of different types of waters but my favourite is when I have an actual target to go for. I have fished various waters over the years which include Horton Church and Farriers but saying that I do fish occasionally on day Ticket Waters such as Linear especially B1 and B2, but my favourite is Manor.                                                                 I have contributed to all of the magazines that were available at the time when the written word was God, but the one I regularly contributed to was Carptalk as I did the weekly catch report for the area that I live in which is Wales.

I have been fishing for over 40 years. Starting off float fishing then progressing naturally into carp fishing.

I have written articles for various magazines over the years and currently write every month for talking carp magazine which is online and totally free.

I was at Nash for over 10 years as a consultant designing products etc with my most accomplished being my idea,design of the wide boy bedchair.
